To increase our manufacturing capacity and enhance our industry leading turn times we are excited to announce that we have acquired a new Hass VF-4 vertical machining center with 10,000 RPM spindle. The new machine will be used primarily on large diameter pencil brushes.

With continuing improvement in mind, we recently started testing various wires used in our pencil brushes to determine which wire provided the best all around cleaning performance. Using our linear test rig we found that a wire with the diameter of .0192” provided the best all around cleaning performance. Therefore in 2015 we will be switching our standard carbon steel pencil brushes over to .0192” wire. Our stainless steel pencil brushes will be using .020” wire. While we feel this gives our brushes the best overall performance, we do realize the special circumstances may require different diameter wires so we will still be offering a range of wires sizes in both carbon and stainless steel.
